can anyone tell me the CD Changer brand & model # of the one that connects to & can be controlled by our stock head unit on the '01 TL? thanks.

I don't think so. you will have to take apart the console, the shifter trim, and pop out the head unit.

Too much trouble for me.

It's not prewired, but you only have to take off the right side panel on the console. You can reach up in the side and plug the adapter in. I carry both of these products.

Thats a great price for the Changer and Adapter. Go for it. Installation is easy. I even think there is a diagram someplace on this fourm or someplace else that shows how to install.
