Bose Bypass??

I am looking at putting an aftermarket HU in my 2002 3.2 CL. I talked to one installer who said my car had the factory Bose amp and it would need to be bypassed. Another said that the amp was in the Bose head unit and changing to a new head unit would work. My car doesn't have the factory Sub. Any suggestions would help. If it does have the amp that needsa to be bypassed, does anyone know exactly where it's at?

Thank you

I believe if you use a Metra Wiring harness you should be fine.. They have a built in bypass..

i believe that the amp is somewhere behind the armrest of the back right passenger seat, like, u have to remove that whole interior side panel, i believe its like a 4x10 watt amp, some cheap shit.... bose blows, good for you, get a new head unit, might as well get some diamond audio 6 x 9 they;re like 100 bucks a pair 3-way at like 200 watts each but then u gonna have to get a amp for those speakers as well, some fosgates... re-wire everything get some good cables... u should be good, then sell ur bose bullcrap for like 20 bucks

just my

Radio 12v- white/yellow + radio harness
Radio Ground- black - radio harness
Radio Ignition - white/red + radio harness
Radio Illumination- red/black + radio harness
Factory Amp Turn-on- yellow/white + radio harness
Power Antenna N/A
LF Speaker +/- blue/green - gray/black +,- amplifier, pass. side of trunk
RF Speaker +/- red/green - brown/black +,- amplifier, pass. side of trunk
LR Speaker +/- blue/yellow - gray/white +,- amplifier, pass. side of trunk
RR Speaker +/- red/yellow - brown/white +,- amplifier, pass. side of trunk

This is what i show on directechs.com the amp is in the passenger side of trunk. you can intergrate by using metra harness and hook up amp turn-on wire. if your going to change out speakers i suggest bypassing bose.
