Blackwood Finish for Metra Kit

When I get my HU installed I wanted to match the kit with my blackwood trim. I thought I saw pic of someone who did that but I did a search and cant seem to find it.

If anyone has any ideas for me it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

You can buy full "blackwood" trim kits that will fit the bulk of your interiror for under $300. Look at them carefully and think about what you'll be seeing after they're installed.

Major overkill IMHO. YMMV, so do what you like!! Hence the beauty of owning your car, you can do what you like regardless of what some prick like me or someone else has to say!!!!

It is all about what YOU like!!

Take care,

Well I just want the empty spaces of the metra kit to match the blackwood. Just need a piece and I can lamenate it to the kit. Don't know if this is possible, but I think it would looks great.

If you find something that works, please let us know. I may want to do the same as you once I get the Metra kit in.

blackwood trim

I contacted the Company I purchased the dark burlwood from exocticwooddash.com and asked them to send me the peice that comes with the kit for the radio-but to send me the peice with all the holes filled in. I then cut the peice to fit my eclipse headunit. The plastic overlay came off during the cutting process. But I still like the look. I don"t think you can cut this stuff without a laser and have the top clear laminate not come off. I paid 70.00 for the custom peice. i I have pics and will e-mail.
