I love how you guys just throw out brands and models without having a clue what the guys music tastes are.

So I'll ask.... what's your music taste? Rap/Rock/R&B/Jazz/Classical/...dare I say Country???

Are you looking for something that can be heard from a few blocks away?

Are you willing to sacrifice trunk space for better sound?

What's your budget?

alumapro is awesome i had 2 alumapro alusonic bp-10s in my old car it sounded great i cant tell you how many times people asked me if i had 15s
they have their bp series in 8 10 and 12 so you can get whatever you want and they come in boxes made specifically for the speakers' specs so they sound right

sounded like me when i got my first car. i had a civic si hatch with a rockford power 15" dvc running an 800a2 amp which put out 1200 watts at peak. needless to say it bumped. thank god i'm looking for sq over spl now.

Yup or the Adire Brahma. I think the 15" is coming out or is already out. Here is their 12"

Cost to fun ratio can't be beat. $379 for a 12"

aren't they power hungry? that means you're gonna need a good amp. i'd go with zapco or brax to run a sub. i heard xtant amps are good too.

My Xtant 1001dx wasn't enough to push my 2 IDMAX's. I just replaced it with a 1000bd to each sub.

umm, he said for a decent amount of money... does that mean he's on a budget, or money isn't an object?

money is of course the issue, but if i have to spend a few extra dollars to get to tha next level, then so be it...i just don't wanna spend like a ridiculous amount of money for quality that i could almost match with somethin a little cheaper if that makes any sense at all...i've looked at the eclipse subs+amps and kinda of like those the best right now...but i haven't really gone outside of eclipse yet

as of now i'm kinda leanin towards it

ID max subs cost major bread. I picked up the eclipses from ebay. Both brand new for $400.

I'm looking for low end that gives definition and punch to bass drums/bass guitar. I'm not interested in changing/modifying anything other than the rear speakers. Is there a drop in product that works well? My budget is $300.

Thanks in advance.

Good suggestions. Did we discuss how much trunk space he can spare to a box? IF space isnt too tight I would suggest a Digital Designs 9515 $480, 2 Crossfire BMF1000Ds $420 ea., and a mdf ported box...about 4 cubes or larger depending on you.
