Auto-up/down Windows
it's either on a timed relay or on a dedicated board. you don't need an aftermarket alarm to get one-touch window controls. you can buy the dei 530t or clifford smartwindow modules and they will work just fine. you will need two of each to control all 4 windows (i know you only need 3 windows, but you still have to get 2 of them). considering you have one free output, you might be able to wire this to the sunroof. normally, one-touch is operable on your driver door switches only unless you wire these modules to the other door controls too. i don't konw if you can make these modules close all your windows when you turn off the car...you can if you had an alarm.
SE can probably describe the stock device, and more about the aftermarket products.

How do they work? I want to replace all my window switches with the auto ones... but I'm not sure if the control is in the window switch or motor. And I dont want an aftermarket alarm. Acura of Bellevue service guys couldn't tell me how they worked.
Anyone done this or have suggestions???

the auto feature senses the additional current draw when the window reaches the top and the motor is forced to stop. trying to add this feature to all windows can be done for an alarm easily but would be a real PITA to try for the stock switches. you could do it but it would require re wiring all the of the switches and you would need 4 auto window roll up / down modules. they retail for about 80-100 a peice.
