You peaked my interest. What LCD are you putting in?? I'm looking for a backlight DVM module. Ever seen any forsale?

I'm hoping to put a digital speedo/tach by the heater switches. I'll use LED (I know, it doesn't match our dash) if I can't find backlit LCD.

I'm just looking at small stuff right now... I probly would not watch DVD's in my car -- it'd be cool, but being a broke 18 year I have better stuff to spend my money on... I'd want it for Navi... there's a Clarion unit thats 5.8"

I was thinking if the CD holder is wide enough...
either super glue the sides of the cd holder that allow it to slide in and out (or make rails of some sort)
so you can slide this out, flip the screen up or down, then slide it back in....
i think that'd be cool -- basically its a poor mans sliding/folding screen, cuz these are for sale and on ebay for around 250-400 bucks

Whats the depth/width/heigth of the CD holder in the non navi TL's?

also... how about the width etc. from where the seat heat switches are, iwas thinking at an angle in there would be good to... I'm just researching options but need measurements thanks!
