I've heard they work pretty well.. If I ever take out my stock radio again I will add one of those.. That's the same one I was looking at from crutchfiled..

The main unit is behind the headunit (or a bit to the side actually, but behind the dash). I ran the transmitter back through the center console then out around the wood trim on the console at the armrest....it's powerful enough to work from there (assuming your arm doesn't get in the way).
I have one in my Honda Pilot running my Eclipse AV8132. We mounted the eye in the dash and it bounces off the driver and back to the Eclipse. Works pretty good but sometimes takes more than one push of the button to make it work. Mine is setup to control volume up and down, mute, and track select or search. I would recommend it.
