Any 5.1 surround amps out there?

I'm aware of the Diamond Audio D65.2, 7 channel amp, which will handle a pair of fronts, rears, center channel, and sub, but it's on backorder. Is anyone aware of other amps that would handle all channels? I want one amp to handle everything.

Off the top of my head there is a JL E6450 and JBL GTO amp (not sure of the model #) - there are others, I'm just having a brain fart at the moment.

The JL Audio E6450 is 6channels at 45w each though. I'm looking for an amp that handles 5 channels, plus one for the sub. The JBL may be a possiblity...just went to their site and glanced at the GTO755.6 II. It won't do the center channel though.

alpine has 2 5channel amps, just add your favorite mono sub amp and you're ready to go

I saw one of the Alpines, but i'm trying to go with one amp if possible. I'll probably just wait for the Diamond amp if there isn't anything else out there...

Do you want an amp that can handle 6 channels, or that has a decoder internally?

Audison has one that can do 5.1 with an external decoder.

Phoenix has one with an internal decoder but it's not that good.

The Diamond Audio 65.2 specs:
Channels: 7
RMS @ 4 Ohm: 60 x 5 & 70 x 2
RMS Mono: 280 x 1 @ 4 Ohm (Sub Only)
THD: 0.05%
Crossovers: Low Pass, High Pass, Subsonic

I'm trying to find something similar, in that it does 5 channels for the front, rear and center channels, and it will feed the subwoofer as well.

From what i've read, the surround decoding is done through the head unit. Everyone that i've talked to who has upgraded said that they kept their 5.1 and never mentioned a decoder. Hopefully that's the case...

OK, I read your sig, so you are retaining the HU in the current TL.

Two things:

1) audison makes one that will work.

2) There is significant EQing going on in that system that is not neccesarily 5.1 related.

3) I would seriously consider a Zapco 6-channel and a mono Digital Reference amp (put a brass heat sink resistor on the center channel, or just turn the gain WAYYYYY down). I think that reversing the EQing is more important than having it all in one chassis. The Digital Reference have 10-band Parametric EQs per channel, time alignment per channel, very flexible xovers, a seperate parametric bass adjustment, and the ability with the add on cable of accepting OEM balanced signals.
