what kind of 12s are you pushing.. neither one of those amps would be considered a real sq amp... when you say sq to me i think arc audio, zapco, brax, etc..

i'm guessing that the subs would be rated 1000w rms then and that to me sounds more like spl than sq, shaw has it right with the type of sq amps you ought to look at.

you are going the wrong route if you are looking for sq... earthquake is a DESCENT spl speaker... if you are truely looking sq i would say to sell the 12s and start over... maybe look at some diamond audio subs....

Try some Stereo Integrity Magnum D2. $300 shipped each and two will laugh at the amount of power you have. Voice coil is absolutely huge. You can fit a coke can through it.

IM GOING FOR A NO NAME COMPANY. IM SATISFIED WITH THE SUBS. I POWERED ONE UP WITH A JL 500/1 AND IMPRESSED ALOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SUB. THE MAGMA HIT DEEP BASS LIKE A W6V2 BUT ITS MORE OF A HUMMING BASS THAN A THUMP, WHICH I LIKE CUZ ITS SOMETHING DIFFERENT. ALL I NEED TO KNOW IS WHICH AMP SHOULD I USE.

since you are going with no name subs go with a no name amp... or maybe a jbl 1200.1... still sounds to me like you are going spl over sq but who cares... look into jbl amps, mmats amps or maybe hifonics...
