amp problems???
Is It possible for an after-market amp(400w),enclosed box with 2 10inch sub-woofers kill a battery. I recently purchased a red top optima. Fried my Die hard gold. I was told that i needed to add some device from my amp to the battery for preventing battery drain. What is it?

The CAP is there to give the amp the power needed when a bass note is hit at high volumn. Therefore, it solves the problem with light dimming. I dont believe it has anything to do with the battery being drained.
CLUofI is right, it's called CAP, farad is the measurement unit.

IMO, fuck the 1/2 farad, just go with the 1 farad. At my store, it is only about 50-60 bucks more for the 1 farad, so be safe and go with a 1 farad cap, and go with a fosgate cap or a lighting audio cap, those are two of the best caps and don't worry about getting one with a digtial read out, unless you know what you are reading and why you need the digital read out, then fuck it. You only pay more for a digital read out!!
