Amp install on hold

I started my install today and had to leave the car at work. I started the install only to find out the amp install kit didn't have all the parts it said it had. I had to leave my baby in pieces.

You know it Silverknight template was used.
I screwed it up tho some how. The noise on the system is horrible, and when u accelerate u hear it louder. My rca cables are not even close to the power cables. I also used a line converter. Any ideas on how to kill the noise. The only good things, the install was super neat and I got a boost from my ecu being reset.

You can go to a Radio Shack and ask for a ground loop isolator ($14.99). Plug it in, if it doesn't work, reverse it. If it still doesnt work, you wanna go with the converter-less approach. Repeat the process with the ground loop isolator if you got alternator noise (the whining when you accelerate).

My amp has rca imputs, if I remove the line converter what would be the best way to run the imputs?

Tap RCA cables into the outputs from the head unit. They are already at line-level.

I got rid of the converter and tapped rca's from the head unit. That fixed the problem. Thanks

I just have it hooked up, not mounted and arranged yet, will post picks when done.

Silverknight: I remembered reading a post saying the + and - wires were crossed on one of channels, which one was that? The reason I ask is because my amp has 6 imput channels and 5 output channels, a left and right for the sub. when I put both a left and right on the sub it drops the volume in half. If I just run one of the channels to both the 5th and 6th imputs the sub kicks ass.

I never said that. Some guy said that but he never tell us what he did to prove what he found.
