Alpine IVA-C800

A friend of mine gave me this unit to pay for a debt he owed me... Should I keep this unit or sell it and use the money to add to my fund for a IVA-D300... The unit looks to be in good condition but it is % years old. Any suggestions??? Any one have this unit w/ that can give me any input

Typo, the "% years old" was supposed to be " 5 years old"... my bad!!!
