Aftermarket Headunit and Reception ?

I have the Alpine CDA-7998, and since then stations that I used to listen to come in with a lot of static or fade in and out. Was wondering if anyone else had this issue ever. Or do I need to but an Antenna Booster and add that inline.

Thanks,

I didn't not experience that with my Panasonic screen even though I use an antenna splitter to share the signal between the stock HU and screen. Did you have the problem before with stock HU?

Sounds like the antenna might be loose, or not connected. You shouldnt have any kind of problems.

Yeah I even took the faceplate off and looked, its in there tight, and no I never had this issue with the Stock Headunit. Possibly a bad receiver ?

How about the connection at the back window? where the actual antenna resides?

Hmm never looked at that. Have to check out where in the HELM at home. Possible considering I've been tearing the rear deck apart a lot. Thanks
