I have an 04 tsx w/o navi. I just installed an alpine 9886 in the storage bin using the mp3 attachment kit.

The unit works perfectly, but now I have no clock display and the lights around the hvac do not light up at all. The heat and a/c still work but it is impossible to read the temp without getting an inch from the display...

If i reconnect the factory harness to the factory radio, everything works fine.

Any suggestions? Please help! Thanks!

 

you are going to have to buy a harness for the factory radio to provide it power. You would need Metra 71-1721 harness. It's basically the opposite of what you purchased to connect the aftermarket radio. Is there anyway you can post a pic of what the install looks like. Im curious.

 

I may be able to get some pics up later. If I get the metra harness, would I just tap into the harness that i got from crutchfield and power both the stock and aftermarket radios?
