98 Premium Sound (bose) help

I have a 1998 Acura CL 3.0 w/ premium sound. I want to replace my head unit to my JVC HU. And after I save up some more money, buy a sub and amo to throw in there. I am only looking for help right now with the HU. I have the head unit and a "PAC OEM-1" to convert to sound. However when I took out the stock HU and connected the harness to the PAC, I got power to my JVC HU but I did not get any sound. Does anyone else have this problem? Or can anyone help? I've alrwady searched through here (only 11 pages) and I haven't found anyone in my exact situation. Thank you ahead of time

Sounds like we have a similar dilemma, i've never heard of anyone using a PAC unit just to hook up the HU though, is it the PAC unit to keep the steering wheel controls or something? Not sure if the 98 has that.... Here's my thread if anyone ever answers...

I'd swap that pac unit with a reg wire harness or a "premium audio" harness and i bet one or the other fixes it.... Mine's an 03 which i'm sure is different but i'm installing my HU today and no one has answered my thread for sure yet either so I'm trying them both. I'll post results..... Judging from the 01' CL-S stock radio I tried to transplant to mine the amp isn't built into the radio rather each speaker has its own independent amp. They look EXACTLY the same but when I put it in my car you could barely hear any audio. Like the volume even turned full blast wasn't putting out enough signal. Only my factory sub which was what I was troubleshooting at the time has it's own amp so i'm thinking that's the only reason I heard anything. Looking at the Acura Tech manual, my 03' is exactly as I just said. Amp in radio but I think CL's and older TL's are amplified at the speaker.

Ended up using the regular harness, works perfectly. Bose is a premium audio system but I think the Premium harness if for aftermarket amps....

And from what I just saw on PAC's website that unit is not compatible with our cars..... Mine or yours....
