6x9

i have read this somewhere where poeple are taking out their 6x9's to allow the bass fromt he trunk to come into the car, i was wondering if it really makes a big difference, cause to me the 6x9's seems to produce some base also

the subs if they are good will over power the 6x9's that are already crossed for mid bass. by saying that try disconnecting the 6x9s and see how that sounds and if you don't see much difference take them out and see how much air from the truck is flowing into the cabin.

I'd be surprised if someone gave you more then $10 for them, for the average person it's better to wrap them up and save them for when you go to trade the car in.

Use electrical tape or strap ties and tie those harnesses to avoid them from hanging and possible rattleing

the other problem you will have is that if your tapping the audio signal from the 6x9's and leaving them connected you could get a distorted signal due to the fact that the air pressure in the trunk will move the subs generating another false signal that will get reamplified and sent to the subs. kinda like feedback.
