Im guessing JL but im getting tight on money lately so im considering something else. I know for sure in comparison the JL is better than Rockford Fosgate, how about the others? any help would be very nice

oh by the way this will be for a JL 12w6v2

 

Also what do you guys think about hooking up a JL 12w6v2 to the JL 250/1 temporally?

 

Ive seen it done before, one of the members on the board ran one if i remember correctly. It'll work, but you're not gonna get your money's worth that setup.

 

The JL is the best of the three. The Alpine may do more watts per $ but the JL is the better amp.

 

If you want a cheaper amp that in my opinion is better than the JL 500/1 then get the Memphis 16-MCD500. That is the amp I have now along with a Memphis M3 DVC. If I am not mistaken the JL 500/1 runs about $410 or so. I got my Memphis 500 x1 amp for $300.

Thanks for the post guys, about 2 1/2 hours after i started this post i found a used JL 500/1 (ebay just listed) for $260 shipped!!! If i were to spend $340-360 i might have gone with the memphis after some extensive research.

Yup! but on the downside there is one cracked heat fin on the corner, no big deal
