2001 CL-S Aftermarket Head Unit Install
Barring any random f#ck ups, I should be the owner of a 2001 Sundace Gold
CL-S in a matter of days. The 1st thing I'm going to do is transfer my Alpine 9835 from my old car. I checked with Circuit City (I have a gift card from them since, xmas, might as well use it) and they have the Metra Honda/Acura Custom Installation Kit (99-7898) that supposedly works for 1989-2002 Honda/Acura vehicles, and the Metra Radio Wiring Harness (AL-1680). I just wanted to check with those who have already done this install that those are the correct part numbers. If I order it today I can have it by the end of the week at the earliest.
Do those part numbers look correct to y'all?

last i knew metra does not make a kit for the CL, as the CL radio has an odd shape. Scosche makes a nice looking kit for that car though, here: http://www.scosche.com/scosche_carau...ItemID=AA1574B
Other than that, they might run into issues being the car has a stock bose stereo, which means there is a seperate amp. Ive had good luck running the RCA pre-amp outputs to the "speaker" wires of the dash harness.

They make a wiring harness and a kit..
Metra makes a dash kit and wiring harness for the CL as well.
Metra also makes a special wiring harness for it. Ask to order the ACURA RSX TYPE S Harness. It will work well with the CL.
It has 4 RCA's and power ground and remote and acc.
Make sure your deck has front and rear rca preouts.
