wow I can only imagine this guys age...well anyway, in respect to the "gap" that as become the topic of argument, I say I dont care about it because it is only cosmetic - the front panel is seperate from the actual box; so the box is sealed tight with no leaks...I assume you thought the front panel was part of the box then the gap would make it sound like crap, but its not. I hope you feel cool now that you said my system looks like shit...I could give a shit what you have to say

alright man i think this has gone to far i apologize your origional setup didnt look like shit it was pretty cool. i was just pissed about the "fucking doushbag" comment. i just think i was like heh? when you were comparing quality to quality with mine and i think i got alittle defensive. this is absolutely pointless to argue about.

i like what you did with dash kit so it woud match perfectly. im going to need a double din for audio phase part 2 lol what do u suggest i do for the double din. a few options: he can make a double din and use the wood trim from our cars and cover it in that,he can wrap it in black vinyl which looks really nice, or he can just leave the plastic as is. mine dosnt match as good as urs keep in mind for the plastic.

I was going to say the same thing (I think our testosterone got the best of us) - anyway its all good. have you got your system tested for max SPL? For your DD kit, what do you want it too look like? I mean what color is your interior? I personally dont really like the look of the fake wood trim all over the interior (guages, vents, etc.) The vinyl would look good as long as it looks similar to the surrounding plastic (black and kinda dull). I just like the look of mine because it looks nearly the same as the stock plastic, so it looks cleaner. I didnt want the install to take away from the stock look very much (other than the look of the new deck). If you can get it made out of some pretty smooth plastic, you can get it to look like stock pretty easily.

Like always, it just depends on what look you are going for. from looking at your trunk, I bet the shop could do something really nice.

ya he did a tl with a kenwood flipout and made the slot on bottom and the top was all flat and he had a few subtle switches that were all black and then wrapped it in vinyl and it looked nice. so im not sure we will see.

no i havnt gottin it SPL but i want to reallllly bad. There was one at a local car show last time but it stopped at 110 and first bass hit went over so im not sure how accurate it was but i def wanna get it done. im not sure if you no anything about Diamond subs but these are the classes it goes CM3(my subs),M6,TDX

two of my best friends have suvs on 22s blah blah and one has 2 15 M6 with 800 going to each and it is insane and my other one just makes you go deaf 2 15inch TDX 1200rms going to each and it just makes u stop breathing it is nuts. but we all are waiting for a spl meter!!

ya man I know about "friends with SUV's and rims/systems..." I have a friend with WAY too much money. he has an '02 Yukon with first 23inch spinners...then 24 inch...now 26 inch rims!!! the 24's looks tight, but it looks kinda weird now. oh well. He has the same 2 subs I do with about 500watts to each and it is a shitload louder than mine - It sucks to have to put a system in the trunk because it KILLS the SPL that it can produce. its too easy with an SUV with all the room available. I couldnt imagine the 2 15 TDX's...damn

that's some insane bass right there. My friend has one M6 MKIi and it hits pretty nicely in his Golf.
