here's your wiring options for your two dual 4ohm woofers

I dont know the specs of your amp, but i'm gonna guess that it's not 1ohm stable.
leaving you to run it at 4ohm, in which you'll probably only get 250 watts or so out of that powerbass.

gr8dale, if you really are 16, I can understand that this can be a hard task to do if you've never done it before. Likely you're working on your first car, and don't want to screw it up; but you can't spend much money. We can understand, we've all been there before.
Unfortunately it sounds like you don't have a good understanding of the things you need to do in order to add subs to your car. I encourage you to go and do a lot of reading and research on this and other sites (just google "How to add amplifier and subwoofer to my car") and come back with specific questions, we'll try to help.
As a starter, you will need:
+ Your Subwoofers (got it)
+ Your amp (got it)
+ some speaker cable (got it)
+ large gauge power cabling. you NEED to get this, you cannot use speaker wire
+ a good understanding of how all the equipment works together
+ knowledge of where you will get the audio signal to feed the system
+ know-how on how to wire it all specific to your car. we can help with this one.
Good luck! Just post in this thread with your further questions, don't start any more threads, ok? Thanks.

So it sounds like dookie huh?
Tunings depends on your gear, we don't know what you have, what your box is tuned to, and whether or not you'll just mess it up again after you

But to have some sort of input
Low pass your subwoofer amp to 80hz.
i had the same thing happen to me before where everything was connected and my amp wasnt getting any power. Very first thing is to check the fuse near the battery to see if the fuse is good. if it is than you might have to check to see if there is voltage going through the cable to see if the amp is even getting any power. My case my fuse was out so I replaced it but it still wasnt powering on so i found out my amp blew out. You might want to take your amp back after all else fails.

The more we know about your equipment, how it is wired, what kind of car, etc... the more we can help you. So far you haven't really posted any information about your equipment, just your problems.
Imagine going to a doctor and saying "Doctor, I have this bad cough... can you fix it?" but the doctor doesn't get to examine you. It could be a chest cold, pneumonia, or AIDS, but we don't have any idea what the cause of your symptoms is since you don't post enough useful info. Capiche?

ok, so i have 2 10 in pioneer subwoofers 1k max... 4ohm voice coils in a box w/ a 800watt amp. the box has a splitter ? in the middle so that each sub has its own space. they are facing towards the license plate. in my trunk
is that enough info 2 tell me what i should have my amp on?
like wat settings

two of http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PU...TS-W257D2%7CD4 and a PowerBass 800 Amp.. threw away the box.
powerbass 800..... 4 channel... 2 channel...? can't find a 800 mono.
also, your subs are rated 350w rms, I highly doubt pioneers can take 1000w...
Furthermore, most likely the powerbass will not be able to take a 1ohm load... therefore you would have to run your subs at 4ohm, and if that amp really does its rated power, it'll only put out maybe 150-300watts at most, at 4ohms.... you may be underpowering your subs. new sub setup or a new amp imo

Your amp is considerably underpowered to be pushing two of those subs. Consider a stronger amp. You're not going to be able to push it much more without investing in a more powerful amp. I'd either look to get happy with what you have or start saving some pennies.
same thing happens to me sometimes
if your running on the oem battery i highly recommend you change it to aftermarket immediately i drove like that for about 3000 miles and the battery died i was stranded like 4 times and had ppl stop and jump me until i could get it changed.
But im think its probably not wired right im going to buy a cap and buy all new speakers tweeters and have them re wire everything at a different spot hopefully that will fix the problem

thinking about adding
2 12in infinity woofers, they are already in the box ... would it be wise to have 2 sep boxes
1 facing seats and one facing road?
1 with the 2 10's and one with the 12;s or should i look into custom boxes for my 10s

ok, today i got tired of hearing my engine sounds through my subs when no music is playing.
i decided to change out my ground wire.
i put it back in the same place however.
the noise is still present
