i had 12 w6 and Jl 250/1 amp ...my friend had 12' W3 and had rockford 2 channel amp dunno wut model or wut watt but it wuz 2 chan amp dat he bridged in his integra...wow his sub hited like 3-4x harder den mine..i changed my mind and sold mah JL amp...now wut amp should i get? mono or 2 channel amp and which one? does anyone know which rockford amp will make mah sub hit much harder den mah JL 250? any suggestion guys?
or should i get same one as mah friends?

is your & your friend's sub sealed/ported/bandpass?

 

you probably underpowered it...

you should get at least 500 RMS on it....I have 460 RMS in my solobaric 12 w/ ported box...hits VERY hard....

Yeah get a 500/1 JL mono amp....that would do very nice

 

500/1....they are usually under rated. I've heard that the 500/1 actually puts out around 600 watts!

id also go with the 500/1...jl makes some wicked mono amps. i need to get my hands on either 2 500/1 or 1 1000/1

 

but then again 500/1 amp is so expensive! itz like 400-500$!!
i only have around 300$ to spend on my amp.

 

you need to look around then....im sure you can fnid a 500/1 on ebay for less $300 or right around there....

 

you can get a rockford fosgate power amp, the 501bd, which is the better series of rockford products for 265 at infinitecaraudio.com. it def puts out 500 watts because when i recieved mine, it came with a certificate that said it got tested at 532 watts. it is in your price range and is a great quality amp for the price.

you can compete with a integra because anything hits hard in the integra because it is a hatchback and the car itself acts like a big box
