hey guys my buddy asked me to hook up subs to his aftermarket head unit in his 02 TL umm i haven't dine this in a while but shouldn't the head unit just slide out nice and easy or is it so how screwed in or something i really can't find any into going from aftermarket head unit removal just the stock removal thanks

 

also where have u guys ran the ground for the subs into also didn't find any on the search for that?

 

have you removed the trim pieces on each side of the center console yet??? you should really access behind it to see if the metra kit used for the aftermarket HU is really bolted in or not... it really depends, but if done correctly it should be screwed in... doesn't take much to get it apart so rather than try pulling on it and risk breaking it, do it the safe way...

as far as the ground you can use a bolt that you will find in your trunk well... some use the bolt that holds the rear seats in... just make sure that the paint is clean off of the contact area to the ground wire...
