I won't be bringing the TL, I'll be bringing my civic, or maybe both civics... depends on what I can get accomplished on it by then... You can put me down for napkins... That I can handle... and that gives you guys time to cook when I show up late... hehehe

I think Becky and I are bringing the Civic and the TL. Did everybody get a chance to check out those pics on the last thread. Probably not because some dum dum shut it down so quick. Legendary.. Kidding.

The pictures I took were from a different area. I wanted to change our location at the park. But someone already reserved the area. So we are meeting at the original location. We might need to park somewhere else because there is a boat launch right next to our site. I don't wanna piss off the friendly boaters. There is a huge parking lot about 300 yards from our picnic area. I hope you guys don't mind. Again, I don't mind paying for the site but please contribute to the food, activities, etc... Thanks y'all.

I will post the pics, driving directions and a map of the park when I get home.

So far schedule is looking clean and Im still down for a drive up from Portland. Too long of a drive to tackle alone though so id rather caravan up there.

Any P-towners want to go, quote me in this thread. Then we can regroup around late May and figure out the logistics once we have a headcount.

Should be a great weekend.

 

Oh, one more thing. Anyone down to make this a little more elaborate than just a bbq? Maybe a drive to the coast or something?

I was just thinking its quite a drive from Portland to Seattle to only hang out for a few hours. I get sleepy on long drives so I'd likely check a hotel or stay with a buddy up there and make a weekend of it. So I'm pretty much down for however big and cool you guys want to make this.

 

Here is the map f the park. The highlighted road is the entry to the picnic site. I would like to have everyone meet at the first parking area to the left. It's a big lot. HUGE!! Since I didn't get my first pick of the actual picnic area. We woun't have BBQ grills provided. I still need somebody to bring a grill.

 

I honestly think we might be there until 5pm. But we should take a cruise afterward. Alki Beach? Ruston Way in Tacoma? Mt. Rainier?

 

I'm open to anything. Like I said, ill probably be staying the night which means if we dont do something, ill be aimlessly wandering the city alone

I lived in Seattle from 98-99 and havent been back since so I have plenty of friends I need to go visit. However, my schedule and likely the other Portland guys schedule will be open for a whole days worth of trouble making if anyone is interested.

Sounds like fun but, I'll have the wife and kids with me I'm sure and I don't think they would be up for a cruise after words. I would have to drop them off and meet up with you guys later.

 

Ok-more people need to bring food. Come on people. When I leave that day I plan to be full.

 

I'm totally down for a cruise....once I get my co driver down for the ride then I can start talking about what food we can bring. I would take my car but my car has 200,000 miles on it and I hate taking it on long road trips when his only has 9,000 lol.
