Just read what uncald4 said. Is there any solution to this? Additional pay?

I'll pay for the people that I added.... if possible...

I reserved and paid for the largest site in Magnuson Park. I am approved for 100 people. If the park attendants or police stop by to check my permit and count more than 100 people, they can kick us out and fine me. That's not cool.

I want to have a good time at this meet. I don't wanna have to worry about getting fined out the bung hole. You know?

Totally understand. There is alot of stress to the guy who regulates the meet.

I have a question though. 100 people as in head count, or 100 vehicles?

Because if its only 100 people... wow thats pushing it. At least at this rate it is..
Say we only get like.. 50 cars.. but each have a passenger, thats already 100..
we currently have like 75 cars... this is bad.
Who guessed this meet would be so big..

Is there anyway you can find out how to avoid or go around this problem?
Sorry for such questions.. If there is anything I can do to help out, let me know.
Thanks again for your kind effort.

100 PEOPLE. I have a fudge factor plan though. I registered the meet for ACURAZINE.COM. When they question me about the millions of extra people.... I'll just act dumb.... "I don't know where all these people came from? Just interested people I reckon." I also don't expect everyone to stick around the whole time. People will come and go.

I honestly didn't expect this many people to respond to this event. I want to thank everyone that did participate.

Also... If anyone needs a Honda Crank Pulley Wrench...... I'd be glad to rent it. I just bought one from Moroso for $100 bucks. I need it to finish my water pump replacement on the Civic. I've never needed this tool before. You could normally use the tension from the timing belt to hold the pulley in place. But....

I'm not sure about the V6. I think so. Does your crank pully have an octagon opening to get to the bolt in the center?

Exclamation Update. Please Read.

I got a reply from Dan Iverson. Please read the following message.

you're fine; the stated capacity of the area is 100 cars.
Park only in the (small) single car spots; the long truck/trailer slots are reserved for paying boatramp customers
there are grills for your use at shelter #1

Dan Iverson
Magnuson Park Special Events Coordinator
6310 NE 74th St, Suite 109E

The original permit application stated 100 people. BUT... He's the man. I'm not gonna question him.

So... Let's keep this under 100 cars. COOL?

I like Rage's ID tag. Can you folk from the other sites fabricate a similar tag for your crew? Or should we put a sub category on the Acurazine tag for the other sites?

And there are grills. We just need somebody to commit to bringing charcoal. Matchlight would be preferred.

well.. if nobody is willing to bring charcoal by next month, ill pick some up at safeway or something

as for the tags.. i think they should just keep the ones we have.. so we're all on the same boat.. unless.. they wanna tweak it a little bit

is there enough room for me? count me in if there is!!!

also, why don't we make this a BYO function (bring your own)? As already stated, not everyone is going to show up that says they will, so buying chicken, ribs, etc. for ~150 people is no easy task, not to mention the hit on the pocket book, too!!! what if only 100 people show - that's 50 people's worth of food going to waste.

i don't want to come in here and change things up, but i've headed/funded things like this before, and it's a royal pain in the arse.

i agree with napkins, chips, silverware, charcoal (oh yeah, don't get matchlight - it makes the food taste like poo!! just good old regular kingsford), but as for the meat, everyone that's coming should bring what they want to eat themselves. i know i like marinating before bbq'ing, especially chicken, not too mention it's a must for ribs.

also, when we all arrive to the meet, get an estimated cost of the park rental fee and costs of napkins, chips, charcoal, etc, and, i know i'm speaking for everyone here, but i'm sure we'll all be more than happy to chip in the necessary funds.

just my two cents. and thanks for setting this up!! this will definitely be a huge success, and a lot of fun!!

No way dude. Some of us need the extra time. I've been booked out for weeks at our shop. I've had no time to work on the TL. And the Civic is in the garage with the engine torn apart. I need more time!

BIRDMAN... Thanks for the input. Maybe next time we'll do the BYO event. But I think we are all interested in what other people have to bring. This is a diversity field day. I know the foods I like. I want to taste the foods you all like.

I'll bring whatever you need...
