Yes the only way you can get to the florin rd. light rail is through 99 or 5 and 99 is the closer route...

As I has said- the only light rail parking I have ever seen (me-not from sac area)
is when coming down 80 from reno- as you get near town there appear to be cars parked in the middle of the freeway- then a left side freeway exit for Light Rail

If there is a station near the pocket area of I-5 shown on the map- please indicate exact location or give cross street for gps

Thats cuts a bunch off my drive to meet there, I was starting to think of finding an auto parts store off the freeway somewhere for everyone to find easily.

We hope to have a number of out of area members joining in the fun!

Casino- parking always sucks- a group together? good luck
good deal on lunch and slots for the over 21s

light rail +drive qty:1- 01tl

anyone for this weekend the 21-22 or next the 28-29
I'd like to attend. I missed out on the San Luis Obispo meet due to visitors from out-of-town (aka #$%^%# in-laws ) arriving last minute. Anyways, weekend of 28th would be a good day for me .

Actually this is not very nice place. The only thing is good about this place is size, but do we really need all that space. I mean if you count the people who participating in this thread it will be 10 people tops.

Well there are a lot of things here is a few
1st of all Florin isn’t the best part of Sacramento
2nd there is 1 star bucks but place is a dump
3rd I don’t know about parking lot itself but everything nearby is peaty crowded on weekends.

McD’s of I5 is actually good idea but they usually don’t have a lot of space.

In my opinion the place
Place: Starbucks
Address:
9160 East Stockton Blvd
Elk Grove CA, 95624
of the first meeting is perfect

The prob with EG starbucks last time was busy busy parking lot and we found some spaces out at the end- with members circling the parking lot like the indians were coming!

Anyone got a safe place with 10 spaces together, or is this meet going to be a wash too?

i chose the light rail because i thought it would be easy to spot, easy to find since they are along the major roads, large empty lot and easily accessible by major freeways. if anyone wants to change a location the feel free, i just dont this to be a wash.

the light rail lot seen along 80 is the watt ave lot. it is towards north east sacramento. its a very busy part of town.

Yeah if we get a spot down at the 80 light rail, there is a starbucks there. If we meet at I-5 and florin (west) there is a big parking lot there with a starbucks. And a place to eat, I think its called Sherry's.

yea the lot near starbuck off of I5 is quite big. its close to the mcd and sharis with a small grocery store. very easy access from I5, just make a U turn after coming on to florin west.

Welcome to the site! I haven't really been to Manteca, but I've heard it's actually pretty nice. Now about the time/place/date etc...has anyone even started a sign up list at least so that estimated number of participants can be counted?

im cool for EG park. just give me the directions. also dont make the date too soon, people need time to request off from work and to prep their cars. i was thinking a few weeks notice might be needed.

How about Aug. 18th? That would be about roughly 3 weeks for all to prep their rides, get time off from work, ask their significant others, etc etc....

Just my but if it becomes the 19th, I wouldn't be able to attend due to religious observance. In other words, gotta confess all wrongdoings to the Almighty upstairs at least once a week.....also, due to my "old age" I kinda just lounge at the casa on Sundays & recharge for the upcoming work week.

That'll be great if you can look into that & then pass the info on. That way everyone can be on the same page. Howzabout a bbq/potluck/bring whatever food type thing? That way, everybody can pretty much bring whatever .

Yeah its all good bro. I think its better on a saturday anyways. Yeah a bbq/potluck is a good idea. You can either bring your food or just cook it there.

Does anyone still want to do this weekend-say sunday the 29th
casual meet in Elk Grove parking lot- no food- no hassles- just wash your car and show up.
Optional drive after for those interested

I believe post #229 has what looks like a sign up list. However, as far as what to bring, there was a suggestion to just bring whatever food you would like to share/contribute either potluck or cook it there. That way it would be easier for some folks in deciding on what food they'd like to bring. But hey, wouldn't be the 1st time nor the last that I've been mistaken
