i prefer the galleria because there would be more necks to break but if this meet will be on a weekend the parking would be packed

My ideal place is like we originally planned. 1st meet sacramento, second meet, somewhere around vacaville fairfield vallejo area or stockton area. we agreed that since everyone was so far away that we would rotate the locations each meet. So unless we are going to have 50 sac guys going and only 2 from somewhere else, we should rotate locations. And if there is going to be a lot of sac guys, have it somewhere close to downtown sac area somewhere so people over an hour away can make it without it becoming over 2 hours away. If i'm just whining please let me know, I just don't want to be driving forever like last time and we went to the dealership that pretty much raised their noses at us.

i think the light rail is good, its big, empty and easy to find with easy access. but galleria is cool. it might be hard to find a one centeral location at the mall lot. you might be able to get lost and it maybe crowded. i prefer the light rail.

They just built a 2 story parking garage in front of Macy's, I believe. We could meet on the top of it.

getting organized

If one person from each major city in the area would check the local acura delear and parts stores to see if they have a barbque weekend or hot august nights type car show in the parking lot and report back here.

We made an impressive snake on the freeway last time!

So I would hope a car dealer would like to have us as guest
when they are having a sale promo day- elk grove was a bust- lets move on
and rotate- I am not fond of sac and to its edges unless we are headed to Reno!
Those of us from other cities think its crowded everywhere there!

And if you have some nice easy local fun runs where a few test rides of different modifications in different members cars can be done- that could be fun- no, you cant drive my car- but- I will happily let you hang on in the passenger seat on the 10 Mile Delta Loop road off Hwy12 and I-5

oo well then the parking structure might be a good place. i havent been there for a few years, so i dunno they built that. so lets just say that if we decide to meet in roseville, then to meet at the mall. and if we meet in sac, then we'll meet at the light rail lot? dunno which one yet.

niello acura's lot is way too crowded and small for us to do anything there. those are the only two acura dealerships near sacramento.

I don't see why not. Everytime I have gone by it (on weekdays) it only has a few cars actually parked on the top. Since Macy's is actually on the lowest part of the lot, the top of the garage lot is even with Stanford Ranch Rd.

The Galleria probably built that garage because they needed to, check it on a weekend and will be packed
Light rail- I have only seen the ones in the middle of the freeway on biz 80 as I go thru sac- would think its empty on weekend
Casino- parking always sucks- a group together? good luck
good deal on lunch and slots for the over 21s

light rail +drive qty:1- 01tl

anyone for this weekend the 21-22 or next the 28-29

North Laguna Creek Park is a nice place to meet. So I was wondering why it isn’t an option this time.

I'll check it , but it's all the way on the far end of the Galleria by HWY 65. Parking for the mall is more convenient in just about any other of the lots surrounding it. Also, they had that whole end of the lot closed off while they built it and there was still parking available. I'm okay with the light rail parking also, but the only one I know is near Watt (I think) in the middle of the freeway.
The casino has parking lots that are far from the building (not sure if they run shuttles or not). Those would be the best ones if we meet there.

Does not matter to me at all where we go, the Thunder Valley parking lot on Sat or Sun around noon is not even close to being full there is tons of room.

Just turn in and take the right all the way down about 200 yards and there are 100's of open spots

Let me know, i will be around the next couple of weekends

Can we try whatever is the southern-most place of those listed- to give the 209 members a chance to attend.
Its 70 miles one way to the casino from stockton, and some of our group is under 21

If we can meet and then those who want to- can snake it up to Indian country...

Input? - besides- oh there are more sac people,
I know desper will go to San Fran or LA for a meet- others of us have various commitments

There is a seperate thread for bay area meets and they are always doing something in freemont or milpitas, maybe more

This thread is to give the Modesto Stockton Lodi members a chance to show off locally and meet some sac area people.

With gas at 3.25 and rising quickly once again- everyones budget is different but in fairness we should try to rotate the locations

Can I get a check in from the 209 members only please
anyone else ready for something here in town-
or want to caravan to a sac meet and photo shoot

lol you talking about the parking structure? is only empty on the weekdays. i go there to park all the time. its the only place i park when i go to arden. theres lots of traffic there so keeping everyone together would be very hard.

the two light rail lots im talking about are located between I-5 and HWY-99. they are located off the florin road and meadowview/mack road.
i live near these areas which is south sacramento and is located only about 30 minutes from lodi and 1 hour from stockton. and thats me driving 70.

thundervally sounds good but it would be farther from the sac, stockton and lodi guys. i think sac would be a central city, located between stockton/lodi and roseville.

The Decider

Before we try a bring any lunch- picnic or go where there are people vying for space at mall lots etc

Lets just say the light rail station at Florin rd- and whoever wants to go anywhere together after- program their gps and have a great time!

Anyone avail this weekend the 21-22 or should we just plan for the 28-29 ???

much futher than 2 weeks is difficult to plan for some of us with changing schedules and having a life

First couple of cars to arrive- park together and open hood-
everyone else now has a locator beacon
just look for the other clean cars

209 members- evenings, wing stop at 8 Mile road I-5, always a bunch of hondas there-
lets show them what happens when you're civic grows up!

yea arden is too crowded. not only the parking lot but the streets around the area and just getting and leaving there. i think the 28-29 would def be better than this weekend. its too short of notice, we havent even picked a location. i wouldnt also mind meeting later than 28-29.

Its from a MAD TV bit where G.W. is in the Oval Office wearing a HELLO My Name Is- badge, and tells hi secret service guy he is changing his name to

DICK
TATER

dictator- now he says he is the decider...hahaha..maybe I am just old

and since I revived this thread, and did what I could to put the last meet together-
I decided to stop waiting for someone else to commit and just pick something.
All places and dates were as sugessted by members-
I went for am because it gets hot!

Is everyone ok with me doing that- I will happily turn over the entire thing to someone else at no charge!
