Yo its pretty easy to get there...the address is 140 Brandeis Rd if you wanna map it, but i'll try to explain how to get there...

If you're going down Parker away from Newton Center, you take your first left after you pass rt9. There's a little green sign that says "Newton South High School" and once you turn there are a few more of those signs to get you there.

I just spent the day outside cleaning mine up but I'm sure I'll have to do it again before the meet.

Oh, and Mike, have you seen the inside of the new library or the new sports center at the Bent?? They're BEAUTIFUL!

This is not good....

OK, heres the deal. I've been so excited about this meet that i totally forgot about the fact that my Easter Sunday is the day of the meet. I'm greek orthodox, and my easter falls a week after the catholic, and i have to be with the family. What are the chances of possibly postponing the meet a week, or pushing it up a week, or at least making it on a saturday? I do not mean to sound selfish about this, but if there are any other greek orthodox people here, i speak for them also.

keep me posted
thanks

Doubt it will be moved. Way to many people know about it and the given date.

Yeah sorry dude, we're talking 100+ people if all goes as planned. Is there any way you can stop by later on? I'm sure people are going to be hanging around for a while..

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

I found this out from another couple of members here just within the last couple of days.

"We open the park for Marathon Monday [Boston Marathon, April 17th], and then close it after till sometime at the end of the month and that's when it'll officially open."

I asked him for a specific date of when they will reopen, and he said "I don't know"
Then today, I was told

I called up the park in Natick, and talked to the supervisor. Looks like we can use that as our back-up location, and we dont have to pay to get in there. Here is the info on the park:

Cochituate State Park
Rte. 30, Natick
http://www.google.com/local?f=q&hl=e...65,0.00839&t=k
So, there is a backup park, that is only 15-20 miles away, prettymuch to the west I believe.

We don't know for sure if Hopkinton is going to be open or not, but we hope to find out soon. I plan on calling some time early this week to find out if there is any new news on the situation.

It was awsome. I can't wait to get over there in the fall.

And DAMN, some of the cars over there that the students drive are unreal. I saw a Cayanne with black rims, a brand new white 330i, quite a few TSX's, and Audi's galore. I looked for your TL but couldnt seem to find it.

Oh, and that location change wouldn't be too much of a big deal. Keep us posted.

you gotta see the parking tower at Northeastern... i compare it to a car show some times... i have seen everything from a Ferrari 550 to a new Bentley Arnage parked between a beat up civic and corolla... you would see a few M5's, bunch of M3's, a hooked up Supra TT, 1 or 2 silva conversions, G35 coupes, thing that sucks is that most of the cars get played out after a while...

the best was seeing a new 996 Porsche Turbo about a month after they hit the US... i was in my friends old 944 and as we got out of the car we noticed it and as we were walkin to the stairs one of the rich saudi kids walked by and we hear it unlock... we were so jealous... i told him its your 944's distant cousin...

yeah columbus... i graduated last spring, but seeing all those cars was not all that uncommon...

last year i consistantly saw an asian kid with the supra, 2 european guys driving M5's, a couple m3's all over the place, g35's were/still are pretty popular so you saw those all about, another kid with a silvia conversion (at least looked like it could have the engine swap too)...

oh yeah, evo's, wrx's, STI's were getting pretty popular too... ie. i would see a few regularly...

there are def some kids with money headin to NU...

<----- EE/CE Dual Major - Class of 2005 - workin on masters part time, again at NU...

haha yeah the engineers do alright... i was able to get my TSX the summer before i started my senior year because of it...

last i checked sophmore engineering majors do better on co-op that most other majors, other than CS, nursing and pharmacy... but engineers are still top dawgs...

good luck next year though, let me know if you have any questions on any professors or classes...

Good Luck dude. My dad went to NU (graduated in 73) and he said that the best thing about it was the Co-Op. It's how he got his first job. You'll love it.

it treated me and most people i knew pretty well... engineering field is def not dead... i had a few good offers to choose from when i graduated... i wasnt the only one either...

there was a lull around 02 but it picked right back up, right now its a very strong field...

anyways to each their own, if plumbing and heating is treating you well thats great...

Actually Wil, I was just thinking about it. Ask your Dad if he went to school with the guy who designed the Fleet Center. I believe his first name was Larry. He was a good friend of my Dad's at NU and graduated in 73'.

Whether its at Hopkinton or Cochituate, the location should be fine though the Cochituate State Park is not as big as Hopkinton State Park. We definitely should figure this out by the end of the week or this weekend at the latest so that we can notify all the forums. This is a big meet so we need to make sure everything is set or no one will come to the next one.

WIL

btw. Thierry, you finally changed your avatar. Nice! LOL. When are we going to ride? Maybe we can meetup in Boston with Kevin.

One more thing, I just saw the best looking 05/06 TL yet! It was black with limo tinted windows, dropped, Black w/ polished rims and I believe the rear trunk lip spoiler. It looked awesome! Oh yeah, I was in Newton right off the I-90 exit.

Yeah I saw the avatar and thought it was pretty funny. Was actually thinking about going riding the saturday before the meet. I know you are going out that night, so we could plan something around noon and ask Kevin if he wants to join in. I did a little riding yesterday and man I LOVE literbikes. Cant wait for you to see it.
