Oh, I just picked up an Icon Alliance Helmet. Its on closeout at Dennis Kirk:



I tried it on over here in Cali at a shop and it felt so nice. Lighter than my flip up helmet and fits comfortably.

Oh, I also just picked up a high mount midpipe so that I can have the nice high mount look. I'll be installing that within the next couple weeks.

Yeah I am going to double check the insurance costs of the 03 and the 04....got a quote for 2k for the 04 and 700 for the 03 a couple months ago. But either way those bikes are hot looking, I'll forward you the pics of the other ones lata....and I cant wait to see the highmount on your cbr

Hey terry, The reason for the big difference in the rate on the two bikes is in 04 is when they made the big jump too 180hp. I ran into this also when i switched from the 02 to my current 04 R1.

Yeah Kev....trying to decide if its really worth an extra 100-150 a month for insurance... the '02 has all the basic mods and is the black w/ flames....or jus deal with the extra cost and have a pimp stock '04

It is a tough call. $100-$150 more per month for insurance plus the extra money for the bike really puts a damper on it. If you think you'll love that bike for years to come, then go for it, but maybe the older R1 would be a better choice. I would love to upgrade from my F4i to a RR, but I don't want to put more money into it and I think I'll wait until 07 when they redesign the RR.

Justin(vtlec01), I recruited another TL driver for the meet from Fall River....his ride is silver with chrome wheels. Maybe you seen him around? I told him to check out the site....or else , lol. Extra credit for me!!

Yeah so far thats what its looking like. If things go as planned I will have the '03 R1 AND wont have to pay for insurance for a year . If things dont go as planned than I will have a silver '04 R1. Things should be settled in the next week or so.

It's actually for 98- 02 Accord. The ride quality was excellent, it just took too much "juice" to get the front end up. If I spent some more time tweaking it would have been working flawlessly. I just didn't have the garage space, time, and patience to deal with it anymore. So, after a whole four months on it, I finally uninstalled it.

Another member with a CL has the same set-up. FARABEAST, I believe.
