I really have to say no to the alcohol, mainly because there are some underaged people going and I don't want the responsibility being on me.

A long time ago, back in 2001, we had a large BBQ meet at mt. diablo (75~ cars I believe). Alcohol is prohibited at diablo. When my buddy, a 17year old minor, and I went to the store, he wanted beer and I specifically told him that I will not take any responsibility if he brings it in the park and drinks it. The girl (minor) was also going to be driking too and I told them that I want nothing to do with it at all.

Needless to say, we were sitting the table and they were drinking when the ranger truck drove into our spot. Being a good friend I reacted in a way that would be normal for a 22year friendship.... I quickly grabbed the beer on the table next to them and tossed it into the cooler which was right next to me..... And of course, the ranger caught me doing it.
Instead of being a rat and turning in my buddy for also contributing to drinking alcohol with this minor, I talked to the ranger and explained that I was not drinking at all and that he could test me. Told him I didn't know who's it was.
In the end, i got the $170 ticket for having alcohol in a state park.

Although that makes me a good friend that I would protect my best buddy like that, in the end, I was the one that took the blame with the ticket. He would have been pretty screwed for distributing alcohol to a minor.

So hmm, since I dont know what to bring to the meet, and i see a few of you guys who dunno either, you guys down to pitch in with me to get some Korean Ribs? My family own two restaurants in Milpitas and San Jose, and I can pre order from the restaurant as many pounds as you guys think we need. I promise that after you guys try the ribs, you will want to drop by my restaurant for seconds The nice thing is, even if I can't make it (summer school or something along those lines), I can always pack the meat in an Ice box, and one of the bay area people can bring it up to the meet. What do you guys think?
