I guess they like you alot to be sending money when goal is reached :P. Anyway, hold onto for emergencies as you say. I'm sure something will come up.

I don't have a payment from a caligirl. Only the people on my list sent in payments.

I just declined a $5 from somebody, although thank you for sending in money.

All I can do right now is remove the email addy from my paypal to prevent people from sending in payments as I cannot edit previous posts.

I don't think anybody said they are bringing charcoal, ligther fluid, etc. for the BBQ pit.
I can use that extra money for that stuff since everybody basically needs it, otherwise we are screwed with having no fire!

As for myself, I'm bringing my own small lunch (togos sandwich), although I might bring my small propane grill that I just bought and my own hotdogs.

We should make a checklist of things that are being brought so we can see whats still needed. As long as it's not another huge verticle list that we have to scroll through

Acurazine Stickers

ok, so I have the graphic file to print out some acurazine stickers. I can get some made and either sell them at the meet for whatever the cost is (most likely $1-$2, will have to research please) or, if people keep donating and theres leftover money and its ok with everyone else, I can use that money to pay for the batch of stickers and then just give them out for "free".

here is what I whipped up real quick from looking at the list.

the +X means that X more people are bringing that item. (for instance, somebody is bringing soday and +7 more people are too)

I'm at work, so it's mildy accurate

for the people brining Ice+cooler, it has a question mark which I think means you aren't sure if that's what you are brining. If people are going to bring that though, please let us know because the sodas will need to go on ice so they are cold for drinking

soda +7 - Cups - napkins +1 - plates +1 - forks/spoons - korean bbq - chips +3 - water - burger patties +1 - burger buns +1 - hot dogs - hot dog buns +1 -veggies - dip - cookies - pineapple slices - watermelon - sausages +1 - pie - ribs

Could you update me bringing Chips+Salsa and Soda. Also, please add princekaleo - 3G TL to the NorCal Caravan as he will be heading to the NorCal meet place w/me from Sac.

Another note: nX_kid has a 2G CL-S but he's under the 2G TL group.

I need 2 stickers to replace the old one that already start to worn out

We can use little extra money to cover for the cost of making sticker, then if the cost is too much then sell it. I'm sure people will buy it for $1.

So, I think it's only right to have the donation pot be kept open.
I donated more then I had to thinking that the extra $$$'s would cover things that we might forget to bring like the buns from last year. If people want to put more in the pot then it's only right to allow them to, and it's only right that they do.

but I'm not the grocery store....

I didn't put the paypal up to collect money to buy groceries. It was put up for the park registration fee. I even said that people should pay a couple dollars, not 10 or 20. I thought it was generous that some people paid more, and that isn't just going to me personally, this is going to all people who are coming to the event since it pays for the parks permit.

I really don't want to have to deal with refunding people part of their payments and having others pay the remainder...

If you all want me to open the donations again, then any balance above the $82 can go to groceries or items for the event, but I can't be the one going to the store for all the items. I'd have to transfer it to somebody who is willing to go buy the items and bring them to the BBQ.

see how the post says "Donators for the $82 park reservation fee", and it was even discussed before I set up the paypal.

I don't know how you thought that the extra was for groceries

There, there... it's okay. Just bring the cash with ya and if we need stuff someone will go get it. Doesn't have to be you necessarily. Or since it's so little now, just get lighter fluid and coal as you said. That'll be all.

yeah, it's only $18~ extra, which is why I denied caligirls $5 since I guess she wasn't aware that the goal was already reached and donations needed to stop for the park registration fee. and i did thank her regardless.

but yes, I mentioned above that charcoal/lighter fluid is needed, and I suggested that I can get that since it's not a problem.

I, however, am bringing my own home made sandwich and possibly my small propane grill with a hotdog or two for myself. Reason being, I don't have time to head to the store to pick up a bunch of items the day before the meet, or in the morning before the meet.

I just wanted to be clear to boku (since he commented) that the donations were for the park registration fee only since one person needed to get the permit (which was me), and I needed the funds to pay for it as a collective effort from the group.

I posted in huge letters on the previous page for everybody to thank the donators for the fee, so I hope everybody is happy that there are some people who took up the effort to help out in this way.

I and everyone else here appreciates u taking initiative with the reservation fee. I just figured that since u had an account open we could use the extra donations that people felt like giving for extra food/ ice/ plates/ etc. but nobody said u had to be the runner. Like biggie said just bring the extra to the meet, we'll see what were missing and someone will role to the store....pretty simple. And although we hit the quota there's a pretty large differential between the percentage of people donating to the percentage of people going. lastly there are approximately 60 people on the list as of now and we have two and a half months before this actually goes down. Yes, there will b people dropping out but there will also b more joining in so I'm guessing we'll need extra money for the other permit.

But it's on you. If you don't want to then don't trip, we can deal with it when we get down there.

Again we hit our goal and shit like that doesn't usually happen so smoothly so thanks for running that and thanks to the donors 4 making it so easy

so, are we going to do a photoshoot before heading to the park?

we did that for the clubSI meet when I went years ago, but it was in the parking lot of the marshalls a mile south of the spot we are meeting.

it was a nice spot to line up all the cars.

I think a bunch of people are going to leave after the bbq before we head to the beach. So if we are going to do an all cars shoot, we will probably have to do it before heading to the park.

I don't see how that's any different than how we did it with CSI years ago. North and South all met in a large parking lot (the marshalls a mile south of the spot we are meeting), and we lined up our cars to take pics of the whole group before we all drove to the same BBQ spot our group is going to.

Not sure how different groups rolling out makes this a challenge

Our north and south groups met at this parking lot within a couple minutes of each other. The timing was perfect.

as you can see from my pic above, when people arrive in the parking lot, all you do is have them park in a row, take some group pics, and head out to the park.

so the normal permit is $82 for 70 people.
special event permit is an additional $60 and allows 40 extra people, amplified music, keg beer, a petting zoo, and a blowup thing (and i know everybody wants the blowup thing and the petting zoo). You cannot have normal alcohol cans/glasses, only a keg. Plus, I'm also opposed to that since I think there are people under 21 coming, and I'm not going to go through with distributing alcohol to minors, so we will not be having alcohol of any kind People can get their drink on at the beach or at the after parties that night.

We'll probably have 70~ people when we get closer to our date, but then we gotta keep in mind that there will be a handful of people that will no-show since that happens for every meet.
Anybody down for getting a keg? Would anyone want to assist me in giving out wristbands to people over the age of 21?
