Speed Limit Icon gone

2021 TLX Aspec

Has anyone had this happen:

the speed limit icon, first, was a blank rectangle with a diagonal line through then - it disappeared altogether (went back and forth between the two on my seven-minute commute).

Does frost have anything to do with that? I did leave my car outside overnight due to concrete work on driveway, and there was some frost but nothing requiring scraping.

I looked over the owner’s manual but found nothing.

thanks!

That is normal. The traffic sign recognition relies on reading physical signs as you drive about. It is not coming from some predetermined database. If sign speed limits change over time, the car should pick it up as it passes.

I've had it read 100 mph once so it's not perfect!

In the vehicle settings, you can set the speed limit icon data to be pulled from the onboard map database - I have found this to make the icon consistently quite accurate.
