Type-S is almost here.
My dealer just called to inform me that Acura is now taking color combos and order requests and what colors I’m wanting. He mentioned because of the chip shortage basically Acura is only producing based on preorders and special orders and they won’t just be sending dealers random cars to sit on the lots. He mentioned they should be getting their show room car in the next few weeks and that the special orders will start arriving within a few weeks of that.

i already had it preordered months ago. There’s 6 currently preordered and he said they are only ordering the 6 that have placed one and Acura needs exact model information so they are only sending what my dealership is requesting no extras. He said Acura isn’t producing a lot and only producing enough for the orders nationwide. It wouldn’t help my situation to lie to me about that to try and get a preorder when it’s already been preordered for months. He only called to get my exact color options so he could send that info to Acura and then we just started chatting about the situation.
Hate to burst your bubble but TLX was up 102% in the Southwest Region. It was 4th in its segment beating out the BMW 3 series, Lexus IS, Audi A4, Mercedes C-Class, Q50. I think its pathetic that a moderator will go out of his way to talk to disparage a product without any real data. TLX sales are going up my friend. I am sorry it will go against your agenda.

There are 240 being produced for Canadas 37 mil population. There are 328 mil people in the US. Unless you have a document that states that, you are not telling the truth.

Sorry its 300 a month this year. Most your larger dealerships will get around 5 to 6 total from May to August.
Down 6% vs up 102% is a HUGE delta. That would imply either the volume for the Southwest is tiny compared to nationwide, or the regions outside of the Southwest saw a massive drop.
Not sure if I am reading it right - the cooling system looks very interesting and quite extensive. The turbo housing also seems larger than the hp number suggests.
Compared to engine bay of 4cyl TLX where you can see lot of empty space, this is packed. I hope this is not adding too much weight on nose, will find out in couple of weeks.
Seems more like protective packaging. I'd be very concern about those rubber lines surrounding the Turbo and the additional heat generated, especially sitting above the transmission. Heat is the killer of all. I sure don't miss pushing wrenches, but rip to the technicians doing basic services to this vehicle especially in the summer. That engine bay will be unbearable. Such a terrible design IMO.
