i think it’s next week, but my contact is from Canadian office and they always get the news a bit late. So far he has given me 3-4 dates about TLX, MDX and type S and all of them were accurate. I am waiting for him to get back to me about next week.

I’m still interested in what happens with the Type S, even though I purchased a second RLX Sport Hybrid last week. I’d love to see Acura make a winner out of the Type S.

 

Hi, I am still trying to find out whether wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto will be offered on the Type S, just like the new MDX. So far, I received confirmation from my dealership that the Type S has been delayed until June and that the ebony interior will be the only color option for the modern steel metallic exterior, which is a bummer. I really want the red interior and if that is the case, I may have to settle for the majestic black pearl or apex blue exterior. Anyone else in the same boat and what color would you pick over on the modern steel metallic?

congratulations man! You have a unicorn as I hardly see any of those driving around. Actually I’ve seen 10-12 new 21’ TLX driving around compared to that model so you have a pretty much rare car per say depending on where you are located.

In the above post he says he’s going to WeatherTech Raceway to drive the new TLX-S all week. So the media is driving it this week.

 

This pretty much confirms that Acura is going to release some info about the TYPE S this week. I have a feeling it will be like MDX. We will get to know the features, driving “impressions” without fact and numbers. 0-60, handling, gas consumption and etc will be released at the end of the month.

 

I don’t think so. It is happening this week but it won’t be like the MDX. I believe the YouTubers will have the embargo date around MidOhio. We will probably find out all the details then or this week it depends on what Acura wants to do. Also the MDX reviews where a little more weirder then the TLX back last year since all the journalist got it in there designated locations. Be patient we are closer then ever!!!

I am out of the running for one, it was taking to long with pricing/reviews/and potential delivery dates. I got offered a sweet deal on a CPO C43, so I couldn't wait any longer to find out more about the Type S.

Good luck with your C43! I had a C class once and it was very low to the ground. Ruined the bottom of the bumper with those parking lot bumper guards. Be careful!

Mid Ohio is Acura’s turf basically. Every year for IMSA they do races there. Last year they promoted the TLX A-Spec model. This year it’s Type S year!!
