Footwell lights?

Who knows anything about footwell lights on my 2021 TLX Tech? I've had it six months and just assumed it didn't have any. Then last week, driving home in the dark, we noticed both footwell lights were on! The interior lights are set for "door operation" so it's not like I had the interior lights turned on. Then we stopped for fuel and when we got back on the road, only one was lit.

I've gone through the meus and can't see anything about interior light setup. The manual just has info on the "on/off/door op" buttons on the overhead console. No mention of footwell lights.

If you're talking about the puddle lights, the issue is already well documented in this thread (you can expect them to eventually fail):

Any chance you could take a pic of the one footwell light that's still working (preferably at night where it can be seen clearly)?

They're LEDs (at least they are on my 3G RDX) so it's probably a short somewhere or a bad diode. Take a picture of it not working in case it decides to start working when you bring it in and get it replaced/repaired under warranty.

My footwell lights turn on automatically when my headlights turn on.

I know in Canada the footwell lights only come on A-Spec and higher. Cause it says tech and below have 8 light up spots and 10 for the other two

I'm in Canada and I have a Tech but they did work last Saturday night - the first time I've ever noticed them (they could have been on before and maybe I didn't notice) but I haven't seen them since. I need a definitive test of driving the car away from all lights.

Ohh okay, I know they’re very dim and hard to notice so yeah maybe when there’s no lighting look harder
