Hello,
I have a 15 TLX V6 SH-AWD and want to change the rims.
Found these rims on ebay, exact set I want, price is reasonable

Can someone confirm they will fit my car without any issues? I will NOT do staggered, and I do NOT plan on lowering my car
Also, need help deciding tires. Im in so-cal so do NOT need all season. I am looking for something that keeps the quiet ride and good handling like I have now (I understand increasing 1" bigger will create a "slightly harsher ride"). The goodyear that came with the car are OK. When I floor around a corner they squeal a bit which is disappointing with the sh-awd i was hoping to find some tires that hold the car on rails going around corners.
Can someone help recommend a tire to get....also what size (245/45/19???). Ive heard reviews about the Michilen sport tires but hear the tread longevity isnt that great (not a super deal breaker) and that they may be harsher due to thick side walls maybe? Also hoping to stay in the 200ish range per tire (in other words not the high quality 400 or so).
I am a bit on the younger side (only 23) and have never purchased new tires for my previous cars since I used to buy used rims and tires off craigslist but now that I have a new ride want to do this right.
Congrats on your ride and your new sets of rims. I think they'll look good on the TLX.
I'd think +30 offset would fit w/o any issues as several people on have had larger setup in the front and rear.
Not sure if you have a Costco card, but if you do, you can get the 245/40/19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport for $207.49 plus tax and fees until the end of the month. I know you said $200 is your limit, but wasn't wasn't sure if you meant it with taxes and fees included. PSS are super high quality tires at low price. Not just the PSS, but all Summer tires longevity isn't as long as anyone would like, but that's the sacrifice you make for superior grip and handling.
Hope this helps, but in the end, do what feels right and is best for you. Best wishes on your decisions!
Thanks to the reply above I will call check out what costco has to offer.
So the Michilin Pilot Sport will be the grippiest tire out there for the price?
Is the ride effected at all as far as smoothness?
And anyone know if they are loud?
So would 245/40/19 be the ideal tire size for 19X8.5 rims?
What I have read is the Michelin Pilot Super Sport has terrible tread life. I am considering giving up performance for longer tread, quiet ride, and better handling and smoothness. But what I am discovering is that 19" rims seem to be a specialty and most tires for that size are based on performance. Anyone have any other recommendations? I did find rims I like in 18s but they are 18X8.5 compared to the stock 18X7.5 so I would need new tires anyways but can maybe stick with 18s....help please!
Nitto Motivos. My 20s rides great, are super quiet, smooth, and have great grip. I had Nitto Invos on my old tax and those were good too, but the Motivos have a 60000 tread life warranty. Can't be that warranty.

The Michelin Pilot Super Sport have a UTQG of 300. This means they're good for roughly 30,000 miles. That's what they're warrantied for too. I don't think 30,000 miles is terrible considering the performance they offer. But if 30,000 miles isn't enough for you, then look for a tire with a higher UTQG. The trade off with a higher UTQG rating is usually a tire that's less sticky and with lower performance/handling.
Hop on over to tirerack to see what 245/40/19 tires they offer. If you want a good balance of performance and tread life, look for a ultra high performance all season which there are plenty of. The Continental ExtremeContact DWS is a popular one. Meet's all your wants with regards to performance/handling, high tread life (50,000 mile warranty), and price point. There's even a $70 rebate available until Nov 2.
Tirerack won't carry all brands (or models) though, so you won't see options from Falken, Toyo, Nitto, Cooper, Lexani, etc., so keep that in mind.
Thanks ill make some phone calls this week!
Still clueless on which tire I am going to get...but I guess I will have to just pick and choose and either be happy with the results or regret it and change the tires after a few years....
