Paint gone from Park's "P"

Just bought my 2019 v6 tlx last month. Noticed that the "P" on Park button has wore off. Anyone else notice this happening? The "D" is flaking off too. Hopefully it'll be covered by warranty.

Because it's not debossed and just painted, your oily fingers will always rub off the paint...no matter how many times you get it repainted/fixed/warrantied.

If it were me; i'd go to a sticker/vinyl shop and ask to print up a few stickers in the same font....P R N D.

perhaps, if you wanted to make it permanent; one could get it engraved into the plastic.

It might not be the paint wore off it might be really dirty with skin oils etc. Try gently cleaning it first with a micro fiber towel with some slight soap and warm water and see if it takes those greasy stuff off of that. Hope this help. Thanks

Good news! Found out today it's covered by warranty. Dealer sees it somewhat regularly. Getting replacement next week.

it's gonna happen again, unless you wear gloves.
other than wearing gloves, there's no getting around oils in our hands that will ultimately rub off paint.

I am a new member but had this same problem with my 2019 TLX A-Spec with a CPO and my dealer said it’s covered under warranty as well. I’ll update as I hear more from the dealer. Parts are supposedly on order. Thanks to the OP for starting this thread.

Any update on whether CPO covered this?

I'm interested too. If it's my guess, parts on backorder?
