Paint nicks EVERYWHERE

Ok.. I think it's been 7 or 8 months. Over 9000 miles. My TL's nose is nicked up beyond anything I've seen. My last car was a Honda Accord with black paint and it only got 1 tiny nick in almost 2 years. These nicks on the TL show up white against Anthracite... it's as if the paint is worthless.

Is this covered by the warranty?

Paint nicks? Covered by the warranty?
Why on Earth would that be covered by the warranty? Not trying to be nasty but it's not Acura's fault. Because of the large, almost vertical nose, the TL is very susceptible to chips/nicks. That and the fact that Honda/Acura paint must be the thinnest there is. Do what I did and get the clear bra.

I had a lot of hairline type nicks all along the front fenderwell (probably from pebbles on the road) that I just touched up with some touch-up paint. Looks great now.

Your point is well taken but I don't know of anyone who would cover nicks/chips in the paint. If it bothers you (and I'm sure it does, since you brought it up here) the clear bra may be your best solution. It's certainly not cheap but I plan to keep the car for a while and I hate scratches on my car. Keeping a good coat of wax on the nose helps a little but the force of a rock or piece of sand hitting the car while you're traveling at 60-70 mph will be hard to resist.

For a cheaper alternative a traditional vinyl bra would help. But they look like crap and they're a pain to take off all the time to wash the car.

I'm glad someone invented the clear bra. I just wish it had been me.

Don't follow trucks or other cars too closely. I notice that all my friends who seem to tailgate, are the ones with the most nicks in their paint. The new TL design does seem to be begging for stone chips, so the best defense, other than a clear bra, is a good offense and avoid trucks...they are the worst offenders.
