Hit By Trailer Tire, Can I Fix This?

I was waiting in the turning lane when a pickup pulling a trailer went by. The trailer was wider than the truck, and the tire rubbed against my passenger side. It left these black marks on my car. I don't think the paint underneath is damaged, it feels smooth. Can I remove these marks myself?

Any suggestions as to what I could use to buff it out? Thanks!

Unless it burn into the paint; rubbing compound should do.

The paint doesn't seem to be damaged underneath. I'll try Meguiar's M105 & M205, they seem to be highly rated. Thanks!

You should use a clay bar first.

Try a clay bar first. Then I may try a bug and tar remover because it may have a lot or rubber content.

Meguire's scratch X will do the trick. Just make sure to go over it with a finishing polish since the Scratch X will make the paint look a bit cloudy.
