Engine shuts off when in park, sensor lights come on!
Hello everyone! I'm a new member here and I drive a 2016 Acura TLX SH-AWD with the tech package, which has a little over 154k miles on it. Lately, I've been experiencing a problem where the engine shuts off while the car is in park. The oil and battery warning lights come on, and a message prompts me to push start the engine. I replaced the battery and alternator about a month or two ago, and I just had an oil change done as well.
My brother-in-law, who works at a dealership, scanned the car and found a DTC P26C3 code related to the shifter. He cleaned the shifter and reset the transmission shifts, and everything seemed fine for a while. However, this morning, while the car was in park, the engine turned off again, and those two warning lights came back on! I'm really looking for some advice on what might be causing this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
