i just got home from work this morning park on the driveway and all of the sudden engine lights on and the D5 starts flashing..Anyone have this problem before? By the way im new to Acurazine. got her last Summer with 182xxx now it's 189xxx the things that i did was the sparks plugs and engine oil. Thanks for reading guy's.

 

JB go get the codes pulled at Autozone or Advanced and post the codes here. All we can tell from you description is something has triggered a check engine light. The codes will help us narrow it down.

Close to 200K sounds about right for the tranny to FAIL.

Yeah, as suggested previously by Memphlow.....get the codes read and go from there.
Could be something as simple as the ATF sensor ??? Just guessing at this point.

How's the tranny fluid level and how does it look and smell ? Is the tranny operating normally ?

 

I haven't had the chance to check the tranny fluid..I drove it today to work engine light still on which is I expected but the D5 flashing stops. First thing in the morning ill go straight to O'Reilly. Thanks for your info 3.2TLc.

 

The OBII says P1709 TCM A/T Controller Circuit. Is anyone here had this problem b4? Can i find this in DIY section..

 

1709 is typically a shifter issue.
