My car is tlx sh-awd 3.5 Aspec 2018 with 30K km(18.6K mile), last Friday when I was starting my car after work, I received these two error message at same time, restarting my car didn't help. So I drove the car for the whole weekend and then Sunday afternnon, when I started my car the error message didn't appear without doing anything except normal driving. I called my dealer on Monday, they told me it could be something dirty on the camera, what ??? They said if error message come back, bring the car in and they will check it. But till today, almost a week, no error message. When the two error message was on, I didn't feel anything wrong in driving or using parking brake, nothing noticeable in the exchaust either. Any idea or similar experience?

Again, today is Friday. The two error came back again!!! Looks like the two errors are triggered by date, really?

 

I went to see the dealer, see below their comments in my work order. So basically they think there is a leaking that's why they order and replace the fuel filling tube. Still not sure why the electric parking brake light is on. Will see in next few days. All repair are covered by warranty.

Did a health check and found dtc in pgm-fi p0456 and found in electrique parking brake dtc u0404-68 reset dtc p0456 and the hand brake dtc. Checked the connector at caliper, it is ok.
Fix pgm-fi first, will reset the dtc for hand brake
Order filler neck leaking
Replaced the fuel filling tube. Scanned the car and cleared all codes, Did EVAP function test, test passed.
R/T(i guess restart) the car, no code returned.

 

It has been several weeks, no more these two error message since the repair at dealer. Everything is working fine.

 

When you had the issue, did you drive your car to the dealership to be checked out or did you have it towed to the dealership.

 

Had the two simultaneous faults upon startup yesterday. Was out of town on the holiday with no dealer within 100 miles, so I drove it 440 miles without issue, except for the dash lights making me nervous the entire trip. Car has 18000 miles. Took to the dealer this morning, and they said it was the fuel pump. Had that replaced under the safety recall a month ago, so maybe. Still, the car drove perfectly at 80 mph all day. Love the car, but dealer service has me suspect.

 

So this issue popped up for me yesterday. Check emission system, ebrake error and lane departure not operational error. Went to dealer, they say there is issue with capless fuel door not sealing, triggering this group of errors. Part is on back order and they have a dozen other cars waiting for same part as mine. On back order for months. So clearly a known issue.

No real danger to operate car. Service writer cleared code and said come back as often as needed till part is available. Fortunately this will be covered as warranty since I am under CPO program.

 

Fuel fill neck from inner fender to tank was replaced today. Nozzle opening is different design from original part. This opening was the cause for codes. Will give it a couple weeks before I call it fixed.

I just happened to have the warning lights come on again Sunday. Took in to have code cleared and they had part waiting.

 

Hello, I had the parking brake sensor/emissions systems problem pop up yesterday evening (15 TLX). I checked the fuel neck as recommended here, but it appeared to be in good condition and no leaks. I then plugged in OBD2 and got the code P0420 (Cat, O2S, Fuel, EVAP). So I checked my spark plugs and decided to change them (89,000km). As soon as I replaced the plugs the dash lights did not appear. However the code was still showing (maybe after running the car it would go away). I did some more reading and learned that even a cat showing less than 95% efficiency could trip the code. So instead of changing the O2 sensor or cat (thank god) I decided to try something I saw on Scotty Kilmer's youtube. I added 1 gallon on Paint Thinner to my fuel tank (tank less that 1/2 full), in hopes of cleaning the cat. I've driven my car hard for 1 hour and it seems to be fine atm, no dash lights. I'll try to provide an update in a few weeks.

 

im having the same problem with my 15’ TLX did the light come back on ?

 

It did a few days ago. I closed the fuel cap. Next day there was no dash lights, however I go the audio message. The day after I didn't get any messages. However, I still replaced my upstream (front) O2 sensor, and nothing as of yet.

 

some to a friend of mine also has a family repair shop. He confirm it the programming code some time pop up for some reason. I checked my battery was 77%. This could cause the issue. So you have 2 options. Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes or buy the item on Amazon for $20 to reset the code. I had the codes on for over a month.. Which I reset it today. Will see if it come up again.

 

Just for clarification the only part the dealer replaced was the fuel filling tube?

was the replacement able to fix this problem after all this time? Im curious because as of right now im experiencing this problem with my 2015 TLX im wondering if its something I can fix on my own and just purchase the part.

 

Just bought from dealer driving on surface roads simultaneous messages appeared. No apparent affect on driving so I kept driving. Can’t take to dealer until next week. Fingers crossed it’s not cooked.

 

I'm having the same problem. It started 1 week after having the fuel pump recall taken care of. I'm going to call the dealer this week for any suggestions.

 

Yes - I get this a lot and have read all the blogs on this. Acura says part back ordered. Capless fuel. How you get rid of it. Disconnect the battery for 30 sec to 1 min. Reconnect. Radio - push and hold Power button to reactivate. Took me a while to figure that out. Throwing it in, it will drive you crazy otherwise.

 

1. Battery. Do not trust Battery check from advanced auto or shop for Honda Battery.
you can get cigar jack type Battery monitoring lcd on Amazon and see it.

2. Both Rear Wheel sensor (under $100 For parts)
