BSI Stopped Working
Well, 18 days after purchase, I have my first real issue. The BSI stopped working. As if that's not annoying enough, both of the BSI warning lights won't stop flashing, I guess informing me that there is an issue with the BSI. I thought that is what the warning light on the dash is for. I even turned the BSI off on the settings, but still get the flashing lights. Pretty annoying when driving. And since the BSI isn't working, the cross traffic monitoring doesn't work either (uses the same technology I assume).
Will be taking the car in this weekend. Ugh...

After 2 weeks I had a couple of indicators light up on the dashboard. It said I had an emissions failure and electric brake failure. Dealer reset the indicators and no issue was found. No issue since. I will have to be on the lookout for this one.
Good we have a warranty.
Spool Valve Failure - 2013 Accord Touring
Meh, sorry to hear that Dan. Even with Acura's great reliability, we're statistically bound to find "something". JD Powers rates Acura at #4 with 109 problems/100 vehicles.
My 2013 Accord Touring had a major one. Spool valve rupture (controls cam follower from low/high valves in VTEC system!). Definitely worrisome. Engine oil all over the place, about 2 quarts left in the car at the conclusion.
They'll get to the bottom of it! Here was my warning light from that night! Reminded me of the bridge of the Enterprise

Emission System Problem
Electric Parking brake problem.
Usual story...if they can't make it right at 3 tries of a repair, and all they do is reset the indicator, make the dealership take the car back. That's what I'd do...it's unacceptable in a new car and it seems like all they're doing is resetting indicators/ lights without really fixing anything.

Thanks.
I pity the beta testers AFTER these cars go out of warranty. $$$ Electrical $$$

Got my car back last night. They had to replace the radar on the back left side. This fixed both the BSI and cross traffic monitoring. The radar is located behind the side bumpers. They only had to put the car on a lift to replace it. I was worried that they might have to take off a fender or a bunch of panels from the trunk.
