Thanks for checking! I'm going to have the dealer listen when I got in for my first oil change. Good to know its not in other cars, so maybe it's fixable. When I called the dealership they said that some steering wheels make a noise cause of the electronics and also said it might be a bearing because it's new. It doesn't sound like either to me though.
Yes that's my fear. Same as the heated seat issue with remote start. They say there isn't a fix. Which that's more of a computer issue I think. I feel this is more mechanical. And it didn't start until about a week after I had it. Frustrating to say the least.

I totally would if I lived closer to the dealership. I'm about 2 hours away and just wanted to make one trip. The plus side is that it only makes this noise when you are sitting still or moving very slowly such as turning into a parking space etc. I have not heard it during normal driving. Otherwise it would totally drive me nuts.
I was looking for something else, and as usually, came across something else...
This noise may be the Accord's "TSB 13-029. Defective/incorrectly routed cable reel" problem. After all, TLX and Accord are pretty much the same around the steering wheel mechanism and 3rd party parts assembly. Even though the Acura people won't take this into consideration, it may be a good idea to do so because this may mean huge trouble down the road for the TLX...
The official entry is: "A RATTLING NOISE COMING FROM DRIVER'S AIR BAG AND HORN GOES OFF BY ITSELF DUE TO POSSIBLE HORN HARNESS HAS A SHORT ON SRS MODULE RETAINER AND/OR AIR BAG NOT CENTER AND HARNESS FOR CABLE REEL INCORRECTLY ROUTED. MODELS 2013 ACCORD"
(sorry for the caps, I am just copying and pasting).

Mine is doing the same thing. I took it in once and they did not fix it but messed something else up with the transmission. The noise has only gotten worse and I am going to take it back again to see what they can find out. Mine started doing this when it had 100 miles. Did you ever find out what was causing yours?

Oh no! What in the world did they do to the transmission? Which car do u have? Aws/awd? Which package? Mine started within the first week of ownership. Probably around 100-200 miles as well. I only can hear it when I'm driving less than 15 mph and turning into a driveway or parking space. I'm hoping it does not get worse but I am scared to take it in and them start taking stuff apart. How many miles do you have now? I'm at about 3200 and I can't tell a difference in the noise.
Apparently a lot of things are computerized and done with software updates. something had to be re-calibrated. Mine started out when I was winding around and around the parking garage. Now it started doing it the majority of times that I turned or even when I was stopped at a light, I would turn the wheel and it would make the noise. I have about 800 miles now. I have the V6 AWS. Took it back in today for the 3rd time and the service guy heard it. I said I don't want it back until it's fixed! And if they can't fix it, I want a new one! Will see what happens!!

oh that's great!!!! I really have thought it was airbag related. I'm wondering if the airbags were part of the big recall and if the new ones were put in, maybe something was screwed up. Let me know if it fixes it! That way I will know where to point my dealer
Thanks again for the update! Hope this fixes it!
So did this fix work???? and what exactly was it? I'm planning to go in soon and would like to "assist" my dealer lol

I've sent two PMs lol so maybe one of them will get through. At the same time they replied to my thread, there was a comment on my you tube video so I tried to reach out that way but you tube makes it hard to contact that person... So I commented on one of their videos in hopes they would reply back. not sure it will work
did you drive the other TLX to see if it made that noise?

I will when I go back with the loaner. My 8DCT also "kicked" twice (of course I'm told they can't replicate and my VIN doesn't fall in range for the last update) and there is a defect in the lower driver seat cushion i've been told they probably won't do anything about.
So far in 2 weeks of ownership I can't say I'm being treating like a "luxury" brand should treat their clients.

. Which trim do you have? And what's your build date? I was so upset when this noise started 4 days after I bought it. I don't notice it bad now cause I keep my music cranked up but if I'm having to drive slow with no music is drives me nuts
So I went back to dealer and met with Service Manager regarding a couple of issues. Nice guy. Appreciated the time he took with me.
We went to my car with a tech and was able to replicate the "twang" noise in my wheel.
We then pulled keys to two other new TLX cars. We were not able to replicate the noise on either of these two cars.
That poses the question...is this a wear issue wherein the noise takes time to develop? Or is it like this new from the factory?
They are keeping my car and having a tech delve into this deeper.

I think it is for sure a wear issue. Mine started 4 days after I got it. I actually called my salesman and he said his done the same thing but that is quite before his first maintenance. But I'm at 5k now and its still making the same noise. I do worry about them ripping it apart to look at it. Afraid of more noises starting. and I HATE noises lol
