I need noise!

I am getting the mod bug and there is nothing that can help me im going to lower and paint my rims next week but as far as the exhaust tune there is nothing out there. The stock sound is so boring... I have always ran an after market muffler for improved sound. I need something!

^this isnt like some unicorn car.....

there are silencers and resonators all along the length of the car....
Have an exhaust shop remove them and replace them with straight pipe if you so desire more sound.

And then take the Acura and TLX logos off the car to reduce the bad press on the image.

J-pipe and catback?? AWSOME! I would be down for that. I need some extra power especially at 4000ft altitude. I would LOVE to hear that sound!

It's kind of funny, some people always want the opposite. The quiet cabin of the TLX is a designed feature of this car, and some people want to noise it up? How about don't get a TLX then? I'm pretty confident is would be cheaper/easier to noise up a Honda Accord or Civic.

Performance is a different story. A by-product of performance is sound. Noise for the sake of noise... slap one of those whistles on... Woooo woooo!

The 3G TL is pretty quiet too.

But I enjoy hearing the engine rumble as I shift through gears while I actually bask in it's luxury glory. Most people that bought a 3G don't agree with me since the intended demographic were mid 40's guys almost at their mid-life crisis but not quite there yet. Which is why I didn't mind paying a premium to make an almost boring forgettable car, sound cool.

^ i mean, i didnt start off buying the 3G saying I want noise! lol
I didnt even know I wanted to mod the 3G.

i have a love hate relationship with my exhaust. its not a note that you fall in love with as its characteristically a Honda... and with most hondas you get a raspy annoying sound.

the G35/G37 however, I would want to magnify that glorious exhaust note!
same thing for V8s! would love to have deep throaty sound...

the TL and the TLX because same engine doesnt sound as good.

I hate rasp, I agree with you there!
I didn't know what I wanted when I bought my TL
I was just so happy to be in a luxury car.

I love my TLX just as it is...MXM4 Michelins were a big step up over the potenzas...but I like the epic silence of the car.

Now don't get me wrong...I like noise too...just not in my TLX.

This thursday a 1999 full size chevy pickup truck hit my EP3...a perfect 2003 Si.I was stopped for a light in heavy rain and he changed lanes into me at 45 mph...the violence of the crash was intense and it destroyed my seat too.Airbags deployed, rear of car pushed into centerline of rear wheels...total loss.I have to have a car for work...and I wanted an Si so I bought a 2013 Orange sunburst metallic coupe with 23k on it.This Si has the loudest stock intake I have ever heard...it is freaking hilarious. It rides very well compared to the EP3 and stops, corners and accelerates much better. It's exhaust is much louder than the EP3 as well.It is a hilarious car to drive...just a riot.If you want something loud you should try one!!!

The TLX is vastly better for highway trips and gliding about in silence...and it is faster too.

But I have the best of both worlds...TLX epicness and the 2013 Si chaos express.I recommend both cars highly...for completely different missions of course!!!!!
