Question XM/Traffic & Weather/TLX/Tech

HELP! Picked up my new ride yesterday; love it!
Pre-paid for XM/Traffic & Weather;Music & Traffic are fine
I can't find the weather icon; XM techs are clueless, as are the Acura Service people.
Anyone know how to access it? Never had a problem, on any of my other TL's.

Congrats on your new Acura. Traffic and weather alternate on the same XM stations.

Angry No XM Traffic & weather on the TLX/Tech

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with Acura Client services
Sirius XM/Traffic & Weather is NOT compatible with the 2015 TLX/Tech package
Buyer beware: do NOT purchase Traffic & Weather add ons
XM techs are clueless; they will refresh your signal numerous times, but it won't work
All the music, sports & info channels work fine
You've been warned!

That's correct. The traffic information is now provided by Acuralink. No longer coming from XM.

My 2012 TL had traffic and weather provided by XM. When I traded that car for a TLX, I called XM to cancel that service. I had prepaid for a length of time and XM credited my account accordingly.

I miss having access to the weather. The radar map and warning alerts came in handy and kind of fun to have in the vehicle.

J.A.S., how would you rate the traffic provided by Acuralink compared to what was provided by XM? The traffic on my 08 TL is painfully slow to paint on my screen. My issue may just be the age of my car since my wife's 2013 Infiniti traffic is almost instantaneous. I have to use my phone for traffic when deciding which way to go home after work.

For me in NYC, the Acuralink is much better!
It covers every area, & thoroughfare, that I've taken, since last Saturday.
In my 2012 SH/TL/Tech, there were way too many roads, that had ZERO coverage
The weather is no biggie, as smartphones have numerous apps., to peruse
Plus, the XM Weather App., NEVER gave the outside temp., which is displayed on the dashboard!

The reaction is similar to CPR. I've only had the car a short time but the info loads quicker and the biggest improvement is that it covers far more roads and highways than XM. I live in the Massachusetts suburbs and even on the major east-west highway, XM traffic would not have coverage until I got 45 miles or so from Boston. In addition, it seemed like XM had certain traffic jams hard coded in their system. There were a couple of exits around Boston where XM always had the same traffic warning. My experience was that sometimes this was true, other times traffic flowed freely.

There's a weather channel on AHA which will read the current and forecast weather for your location automatically. Dunno if that helps.

Could I ask you all if the traffic will update in the middle of a trip? That is, you set the trip via the GPS, then during the drive, a traffic accident occurs and this info is passed via Acuralink. Will the GPS inform you that there is a faster route or that there is traffic on the route?

I live in NYC and traffic is a major issue...

Thanks.
