It's not shown in the nav screen legend in the manual, and I've never seen it on any of my other Acuras.

I've driven the car 40 miles, so it doesn't seem likely that's it.

its downloading something and its at 72%

that's what I gather from playing video games anyway......
that's the universal sign of "thinking/processing/refreshing/installing"

 

It's installing a navigation/maps update. When the tlx and mdx received updates to our media / navigation from the dealer we had that symbol there for awhile as it had to finish installing additional items in the background. Mine took a day or two to complete. It only updates when the car is on of course

 

I believe it means it is synchronizing with your phone (contacts /music, etc).
