Has anyone here attempted to (or plan to) setup a MobilEye collision and lane departure system for their TLX? According to MobilEye, I am the first and they don't yet have a profile available for the car to install / tune the system.
If anyone has ever done this for the first time, any advice would be really helpful. thanks

Not if you opted out of the tech or advance package. The aftermarket collision warning system from MobilEye is only $400 and I didn't have to buy everything else that came with the available option packages.
i hope a big company owns mobileye when the farking thing slams your brakes on for no reason at 65 with someone on your tail/
i can understand getting an aftermarket stereo but I refuse to hand over my enjoyment of driving for $400/
and get the smartphone app/ http://www.mobileye.com/products/mob...ries/mobilapp/
you just stare at your phone instead of the windshield. it will let you know when there is a pedestrain...oh wait, you opted out of that upgrade to the pedestrain module/

The aftermarket MobilEye is actually only a warning based system like the system found on the tech package. There is no steering correction or automatic braking involved. Mobileye is actually an OEM for most major brands so it is a quality system. The issue is that for the aftermarket, nobody has ever calibrated the system for use on the TLX because our cars are so new - I've been on the phone with their tech support and it needs to go through what they call a can-sniff process and some of the authorized installers are unfamiliar with the process.

I just installed a high-end dash cam system into my TLX which includes lane departure warning and front collision alert functionality. You can read about the unit and my installation here:

Since I have the Advance package on my TLX SH-AWD these features were redundant and I've turned them off. However, I did play with them a bit first and would be glad to provide feedback if interested.
