I can't seem to get the system to read my text/emails on my new TLX. Car recognized my iphone 6, I'm able to make and receive calls, use SIRI. But I am unable to set up the voice read feature. I've gone into settings, clicked on the "Enable Text/Email" setting--but I am not able to access the "Select Account" or "New Text/Email Alert" features (see attached pic).
Any suggestions?

The following may help as well (from a different thread I posted this solution in):
Keifer, do this while not in your car. On your iPhone, access Settings > Bluetooth. Then, for the "HandsFreeLink" device in the list, tap on the "i" within a circle on the right hand side. This will open up a new screen.
On this screen, there should be an item labelled, "Show Notifications". This is likely not enabled for you. Enable it.
Back out of the menus to get to the home screen and then restart your phone. Now go to your car and check to see if the "email and texts" are are still grayed out.
Thanks so much. I did activate the "Show Notifications" and was now able to click on "New Text/Email Alert." However, this is what I got when I clicked on "Select Account" (see photo) which didn't permit me to do anything other than click on it, with no response. And no texts or emails appeared in any form afterwards.
Any suggestions
I would start from square one. Delete device from the car. Forget the pairing from the phone. Turn off phone & back on. Pair. Make sure the "Show Notifications" is set. Then access the "Enable Text/Email".
Unfortunately, just heard back from Acura. Seems my iphone 6 "does not have email messaging compatibility with HFL." Amazing that a phone with this kind of consumer base is not supported, particularly since the Acura has SIRI Eyes Free!

It's known that iPhones won't do the emails. Your OP indicated "...to read my text/emails...". I took that you were having problems with text messages too.
You have to choose either text msg's, or email; can't do both; you can get email, if you choose to eliminate text msg's, & vice-versa; it's one or the other; not both.
You can switch from one to the other, ONLY when parked!
I tried switching, when parked, but was only able to do TEXT. Wish I could figure out how to make it work, but as noted above, even Acura doesn't believe email will work if using iPhone (they referred me to a manual confirming that fact).
^^ I had the same problem with my 2013 RDX, it would give me an error that my replied text didn't go but the people to which I sent the text would confirm it was received...Is that also the case?
I have an iPhone 6 and I'm able to get texts but can't respond to them. I just had my navi software updated and asked the dealer if there was a fix for the text reply issue. I was told that feature doesn't work with iPhones. Seems weird that you can get them but not reply to them.
I couldn't get text replies to work with an Odyssey customer of mine's iPhone 6 either. Meanwhile the galaxy edge won't fully work with Accord when Bluetooth streaming. Music streams but no data and no track jumping from the car's controls. It's a nightmare for all car manufacturers no?
