My old TL would display weather conditions including radar maps and well as traffic re-routing, assuming the vehicle was using the navigation system. Severe weather statements would also appear on the nav screen. On my 2018 TLX I have full access XM, but there does not seem to be any weather or traffic information other than tuning in to certain XM stations. None of the information provided is displayed on the Nav screen. I contacted XM and the rep stated that such information is provided on the radio only. Are any of you guys getting weather and traffic incident information on your Nav Screens?

 

Page 241 of the owner's manual describes how to setup SiriusXM Traffic & Weather. Additionally, on page 261 it seems to suggest you can use voice recognition to request the weather forecast. It doesn't appear as though the navigation system provides weather information, but it does appear to receive traffic information. There may be some preferences you need to configure for it to re-route.

 

Thanks for the info. As I'm writing this response, I'm holding the 2018 Owner's Guide in my hand. The highest page # in the Owner's Guide is149, so not remotely close to page 241 I was given three manuals on delivery of my unit, the Owner's Guide, 2018 Consumer Information, 2018 TLX Maintenance Journal. Is there some other manual I should have received?

 

Go to owners.acura.com and view PDF or order a hard copy owners manual. You are looking at "guide" not "manual"

So, the manual is also on the CD that you should have been provided at the time of sale, probably in with the owner's guide. FYSA, a printed Owner’s Manual, Navigation Manual, and Warranty Booklet are complimentary to the first registered owner, up to six months after vehicle purchase, you just need to provide your VIN.

 

I've looked through the documents and manuals that were provided at delivery, and no CD in any of it. I did order the books since I'm in the 6 month window. Having owned two Acuras in the past, each equipped with the Nav system, I did wonder why the books that were provided at delivery were not very thick as compared to the manuals included with my older vehicles.
