Hey guys and girls,

New owner of a 2018 TLX and after doing some research I couldn't find any after-market hoods that are plain flat (without the 3 bulges like on the stock hood). Has anyone been able to get one? I really don't like the bulges on the stock hood because they reduce visibility, i sit on the lowest seat position, and in my opinion makes the car too aggressive for no reason. I have plans to upgrade the intake, make add a turbo . So i wanted a hood that's just flat like the old TL hoods and make with some side scoops. Any suggestions?

simply put, why take away the gorgeous lines of the hood..???
2nd of all, this isnt a tuner car...it can be with time....but as of now, it's not something that has a lot of aftermarket support.

 

Yeah an aggressive hood on a sports sedan just doesn't seem right. 😕

 

Just take a rubber mallet to it and flatten it
